Jupiter Takes One For The Team!

One of the many reasons I'm glad that I live on Earth and not Europa (yet), is evidenced by this video.  It's a few weeks old but you can see that Jupiter (and other gas giants in our solar system) is a necessary part of Earth's life support system.

NASA (again)

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/science/space/article7149543.ece

I don't care where you are on the spectrum of government spending v. scientific research.  This is sad, sad news. Effectively, NASA has crippled research into our next best living space option for the next few decades putting us even more behind collectively as living beings and as a country, if there is even a space race still going on.

Wikipedia Rules ...

Yes it does, but there are a lot more rules to posting something than I thought.  (There are shepherds who like to say, "Nein!" and knights who say, "Nee!"). Which is good for quality control and bad for self-promotion.  All that being said, Wikipedia is a great resource and I may still be in there somewhere ...
