Dallas SciFi Expo Recap

It was a slow start to the day ... and the whole day was pretty slow too.  But we had fun, met some pretty cool people and sold a few books.  I'm going to share some of the pictures that my wife took below so that you can partake in all the fun.

Maybe my favorite costume of the day.  This couple went so far as to make "Buy More" name tags.

For those of you who don't know, they are dressing like the characters from the t.v. series "Chuck" (still don't know?  check out the website:  http://www.nbc.com/chuck/)

This is Adam Baldwin (from "Chuck").  Didn't get to see him up close because his autograph line was sooooo long all day.  He seemed to be gracious with the people getting his autograph.  Check out the website for much better pictures.   http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000284/

Also, he is NOT a Baldwin brother but I'm sure he's gotten that association thousands of times.

Daniel Logan .... and lots and lots of personality.  For those of you who do not recognize this guy, he was the kid who played Boba Fett in Star Wars Episode One.  He's voicing a character in the animated series, Star Wars Clone Wars.  For more information on him:  http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0517535/

Borders Book Signing

Many thanks to my friends and fans who were at the Borders book signing event in Arlington this Saturday. The staff was great and generous with the coffee. Book Signing at Angel Fire Library

I was so pleased with the staff and volunteers at the Shutter Library of Angel Fire.  I had a great time and I got to speak with some wonderfully interesting people.  Thanks to everyone who stopped by and bought books!  Hopefully, I will be back to New Mexico this summer ... Stay tuned!

Book Signing

I finished my first book signing! It was an enjoyable experience to assist the Dallas Police Department's military assistance program (MAPS). MAPS sends care packages to police officers and their family members who are deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. I was a bit nervous at first, but everyone was extremely nice and my jitters were quickly put to rest.
I am currently negotiating a book signing with the Shuter Library in Angel Fire, New Mexico sometime mid-February. I am also exploring my options at the various science fiction conventions around Texas.
